- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cooked rice, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, milk, chopped onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the mixture.
- Top with crushed buttery crackers to create a crunchy layer.
- Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
